The Story of Jedi Master Jay Lyon PT 20.1

After The Celebration of The Destruction of The Second Death Star, Luke was wondering how Jay lost his arm. He found Jay outside of the village and caught up to him.

Luke: Master Lyon...
Jay stopped and turned to Luke. He saw and concern look on his face. Luke saw his arm and now he wants to know how did he lose it.
Luke: You never told me you lost your arm.....How did you lose it, Master
Luke's words hit Jay like a thunder bolt. He placed his hand on his prosthetic arm and turned away. Taking a deep breath, he began to tell Luke how he lost his arm.

Jay: Luke....I lost this arm two times.....The first time, I was a Padawan, just 17 years old....I was temporarily assigned to a Nautolan Jedi Master named Kit Fisto. We head to Dantooine to fought Echore Medina, who was a Sith at the time, at a base. She knocked out Master Fisto and I fought her, until she cut my arm off, just at the elbow. She told me I was fool to face me. If was to face her again, she would kill me. That angered me and tapped in to the dark side. I rose to my feet and attack....with one arm. The fight continue, until she had the upper hand and defeated me. I would have been dead if Master Fisto haven't stepped and stopped her from killing me. After she retreated and Master Fisto took me back to Coruscant, where I got a prosthetic arm. Master Fisto told Master Yoda and Master Windu about what happen. So, Master Windu took me as his apprentice and I learned Vaapad.
Luke (Confused) : Vaapad?
Jay: Vaapad is a Seventh Form of Lightsaber Combat, created by my master. It allows the wielder to channels his or her own darkness into a weapon of the light. While I learned that, he taught me all of his abilities.
Luke: And the second time?
Jay: The second time....is when I saved my parents, who ever held prisoner. They were being held in Jedi Prison by Darth Phantom. I went with a time of Jedi and Sith, who became our prisoner. I soon arrived at the Crystal Chamber. I leap to the top of the generator, then lowers myself into the crystal chamber. The Crystal was surrounded with and energy sphere, which I tried to cut with a lightsaber, but no luck. Screaming in agony, I reached out to it with my prosthetic arm into the energy sphere, uses the Force to pull the crystal from its socket, and then shatters it into a thousand shards, causing my arm to explode. The energy surge causes the generator to explode, and Jay leaps to safety with his prosthetic arm destroyed. After words, I manage to free all of the Jedi who were in the prison and stopped Darth Phantom for good.
Luke: So...What happen to Echore?
Jay: She redeemed herself.....She defeated Darth Phantom on Corellia and saved my life from being killed by Phantom. She cut off her times from The Sith and became a Jedi. Earlier, After the Jedi were saved, and Darth Phantom's defeat, I was brought to a hospital to be treated and got a new arm. My parents, and every Jedi, were treated for injuries of every sort. And that's how I lost my arm twice. I hope you can understand, Luke. My arm is a reminder to you. When your father cut off your hand, and you cut off your father's hand, I don't want you go fall down that dark path like your father died years ago.
Luke: I understand....Speaking of your arm, where you reminded of your arm?
Jay: I was.....My wife's apprentice, Katcay Nevdee, was under Darth Phantom's Control and was used to kill Jeffian....my friend. I gave in to my anger and pain and fell to The Dark Side and sliced off her arm. Before I could deliver the final blow, Jar and others stopped my from killing her. Seeing the mistake I made, I let go and turned back to the light. After those events, I made a vow....A vow to never give in to The Dark Side and a vow to protect those I care about from dying...My friends, my family, my wife, my children, my apprentice, my parents and my sister. Remember you looked at your hand and at Vader's wrist, They was a reminder.....A reminder not to give to your hatred.

Luke understood those words and knew Jay's words are true. He looked at his hand and made a fist. He promised not to give in to his hate and continue to stay in The Light. Later, Luke was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight by Jay, accordance to Jedi traditions. After that, Luke and Jay went to side missions and a journey to rebuild The Jedi Order.
